As Patron of the Wells Cathedral Chorister Trust, HRH The Duchess of Edinburgh attended a concert in Wells Cathedral on 26th September, in support of the Drakensberg Boys Choir. All funds raised on the evening contributed to a bursary scheme which supports talented boys who cannot afford full fees.

The Choir performed alongside the Choristers of Wells Cathedral Choir, Wells Cathedral School Chamber Choir and Chamber Orchestra. It was a wonderful performance with a diverse repertoire, enabling all the performers to showcase their musical talents.

Following the performance the Lord-Lieutenant said: “ It was a stunning evening with beautiful performances from all the choristers. The Drakensberg Boys Choir performance was mesmerising, the rich cultural diversity of South Africa came together in a captivating musical journey”.
