Today the Vice-Lord-Lieutenant of Somerset visited the ‘Coronation Meadow’, an 87 acre Farm on the Mendips near Priddy.
This farm has been managed by the Somerset Wildlife Trust for the last 32 years and is the largest area of regenerated meadow grassland in Somerset. Accompanied by DL’s Jenny Duke, Sheila Wheeler and Justin Sargent, we were given an excellent and educational guided tour of the project and an extensive overview of the rare wild flowers, herbs and grasses by the resident Reserve Manager, James Ozolins.
