From Ted Allen, Vice Lord-Lieutenant: The Lord-Lieutenant and I had the pleasure of visiting the creative work forming part of the ‘Wells in Mosaic’ project. When completed this mosaic will be a walkable street map of the smallest city in England with plans to install the 30m2 artwork incorporating approx. 750,000 hand cut tiles in Cathedral Green, to coincide with the 850th anniversary of Wells Cathedral in 2025. The skill and intricacy of the handcraft in this contemporary mosaic is  quite outstanding and we are pictured with Ruth Ames-White, who is the artist and creator of the project.
