From Ted Allen, Vice Lord-Lieutenant: The Lord-Lieutenant and I had the pleasure of visiting the creative work forming part of the ‘Wells in Mosaic’ project. When completed this mosaic will be a walkable street map of the smallest city in England with plans to install the 30m2 artwork incorporating approx. 750,000 hand cut tiles in Cathedral Green, to coincide with the 850^th anniversary of Wells Cathedral in 2025. The skill and intricacy of the handcraft in this contemporary mosaic is  quite outstanding and we are pictured with Ruth Ames-White, who is the artist and creator of the project.
