From Ian Kelham DL: Yesterday I attended a meeting on behalf of the Lord-Lieutenant of the Weston-super-Mare stroke club. They hold weekly meetings at Worle Golf Club as well as regular outings. The club has been running for almost 21 years and is a very vibrant group of people all of whom have had a stroke at some stage in their lives. This meeting was attended by about 40 members. I had been asked to talk about the role of the Lord Lieutenant and the Lieutenancy. We had an interactive session exploring the understanding the group had about the Royal Family and how the Lieutenancy supports their role.
